Andrei entered the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1987, training under the guidance of the People’s Artist Yelemeyev.  Appointed to the faculty in 1993, he now serves as the Deputy Dean of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts.

His professional affiliations include membership in the Russian Union of Artists and a creative staff role at the Russian Academy of Arts studio.
