Amid several years in finance and corporate management, her participation in family painting tutorials has unexpectedly sparkled a new life. In particular she loves to emulate masterpieces of great artists such as Vermeer, Millet, Monet, Turner and Sorolla. In order to closely examine these classical works, she has travelled extensively to museums in the UK and France. Her emulation works are well received in Hong Kong. For instance, the painstaking emulation of “The Virgin in Prayer” (Sassoferrato) in Hong Kong Palace Museum (2024) has fetched keen curiosity from the public.
Her colours are deep and firm, self-constrained but truly interesting. She muses ceaselessly while she travels, “travel-graph” like “Fuji in Bright Sky” and “London Sakura” were praised with “Outstanding Award” in Hong Kong Oil Painting Exhibition 2023. She labours her artwork persistently and passionately, enjoys bringing her loved ones into picture by paintbrushes and colours. Her themes are wide-ranging: lively objects, breath-taking scenery, animated blossoms and a good number of portraits. The exhibited portraits of her three daughters (International Oil Painting Exchange Exhibition 2025) are endowed with a rich variety of styles and inspiring spirits.
Details oriented, she has curated a number of painting exhibitions such as 2024 Invitation Exhibition of the Hong Kong Oil Painting Research Society and 2025 Hong Kong – Beijing – St Petersburg - Paris International Oil Painting Exchange Exhibition. During these occasions different local artists have taken the advantage to share and connect. Meanwhile, the general public have also benefited from a delightful surrounding of art.

Ming Gang Lin

Lin Ming Gang was born in Fuzhou in 1952 and moved to Hong Kong in 1978. He graduated from Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts in 1984. Since 1990, he resided in Paris and further his study in Ecoles Nationale Surperieure des Baux-Arts de Paris, for two years. He then spent two year in Louvre to learn the art of those great artists. He was appointed the member of la maison des artistes in 1993. Now he is a professional painter and an art critic.
Lin’s works are greatly influenced by classicism and Impressionism. He is a painter with ‘Paris style’ and his works are said to be ‘the art of human nature’ as his paintings can deeply reveal the reality of human nature. Lin’s works had entered “ Salon d’automne ‘’for five times and “ Salon des Artistes Francais Association’’for four times. He had held thirty solo art exhibitions in Hong Kong and China , and also participated more than one hundred times in joint exhibitions. In 2003, he assisted Shanghai Ang-Ting Art Museum in collecting art works from Chinese artists and showed their works in Shanghai Art Museum. In 2004, he first time organized a large-scale art exhibition China Wind and it received a great response in Paris. In 2005, he held the exhibition Flash and Eternity — Lin Ming Gang’s Art Exhibitor in Hong Kong University.
Lin is also a critic and writer. His works have been published in China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He has been interviewed by French international Broadcast Station for 14 times. Lin is now the member of French Artist Association, the Chairman of Hong Kong Oil-painting Research Society

Lina Tian

Lina was born in China and subsequently immigrated to New Zealand. In 2012, she relocated to Hong Kong along with her family. During her lifetime, she maintains a strong interest in art and never ceased her artistic explorations.
Lina subsequently joined the Hong Kong Oil Painting Research Society, where she assisted, planned and participated various art exhibitions. In 2025, she accompanied the association to Russia to conduct art exchanges and learning experiences with the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg and the Surikov Moscow State Academic of Art. She was once invited to participate in the training program for Art Administrative Talents jointly hosted by Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Shanghai Affairs Office of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
