Pavel was born in Penza Oblast in 1965. He completed his studies at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad in 1993. Presently, he serves as a teacher at the Repin Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, and he holds membership in the St. Petersburg Artists' Union.
